1- History:

The Higgs boson is a fundamental particle that gives mass to other particles in the universe. Its discovery confirmed the existence of the Higgs field, which was first proposed by Peter Higgs in the 1960s.
Another notable achievement of CERN is the creation of the World Wide Web. In 1989, British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee, who was working at CERN at the time, developed a system of hyperlinked documents that became the basis for the modern internet.

CERN has also been a pioneer in the field of computing. The organization developed the first website and the first web browser, as well as many other tools and protocols that are now widely used on the internet.
